Our Cyclone Relief Steps Up

Cambridge wasted no time in reaching out to assist those most affected by Cyclone Gabrielle.

Individuals, businesses, and other groups and organisations moved quickly to collect and distribute critical supplies for those in the most severely affected areas.  Many people here in Cambridge quickly jumped into action after seeing images of the devastated Hawke's Bay area.  They reached out to different social media platforms to launch initiatives that would last long-term.

One of the first to move was the Cambridge Jewellers team.  Anna Yeates expressed her desire to do something on social media, and by 11 a.m., she had been contacted by Main Fright to say they had a truck coming down and could transport donations dropped off at the Cambridge Jewellers store.
