In 1985, Citizen launched the world's first diver's watch equipped with an electronic depth meter, called the "Aqualand." This year, marking the 40th anniversary of its release, we are now introducing a limited-edition model that is a faithful yet contemporary tribute to the original design. The crown at the 4 o'clock position, three push buttons, and the distinctive bulbous depth sensor at the 9 o'clock position replicate the shape of the original model. The case features a grey matte brushed finish, while gold accents give it a special appearance befitting a 40th anniversary model. In addition to displaying the time, calendar, alarm, and chronograph functions, the digital display also allows for depth measurement and dive time tracking in dive mode. It is also equipped with an ascent rate alarm function that sounds a warning when the ascent speed exceeds a certain limit. The strap is made of BENEBiOL™, a plant-based polyurethane. The case back is engraved with a logo inspired by the iconic shape of the sensor to celebrate this momentous occasion. Limited to 5,800 pieces worldwide.
